In a world filled with religious confusion, conflicting doctrines, and countless denominations, the greatest need of mankind is not another religious movement, but a return to Jesus Christ. Our plea must be for Christ, not the traditions of men, not the opinions of the religious world, and not what we personally prefer, but Christ as He is revealed in the inspired Word of God. Jesus declared, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18). If Christ possesses all authority, then His words must be our standard, His will our guide, and His church our concern.

A plea for Christ is a plea to respect the authority of His Word. Jesus asked, “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46). It is not enough to claim that we believe in Jesus; we must be willing to obey Him. We must speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where the Bible is silent, seeking to do all things according to His revealed will. Our faith, worship, teaching, and practice must be governed by Scripture rather than human traditions.
A plea for Christ is also a plea for the unity He desires among His followers. Jesus prayed that His disciples “may all be one” (John 17:21). The unity Christ prayed for cannot be built upon human creeds, denominational traditions, or compromise with error. It must be built upon the truth of God’s Word. Paul pleaded with the Corinthians to speak the same thing and to have no divisions among them (1 Corinthians 1:10). The answer to religious division is not to abandon truth, but to return to the teaching of Christ and the apostles.
A plea for Christ is a plea for salvation through obedience to His gospel. Jesus said, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved” (Mark 16:16). We must hear and believe the gospel, repent of our sins, confess our faith in Christ, be baptized for the remission of sins, and continue to live faithfully before Him (Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10; Revelation 2:10). Christ is not merely a name to profess; He is our Lord to obey, our Savior to trust, and our example to follow.
Let us make our plea simple and sincere: Let us return to Christ, follow His Word, wear His name, worship according to His will, and be the people He calls us to be. The question is not what men teach or what religion has become, but what does Christ say? Our desire should be nothing more and nothing less than to follow Him faithfully. If we truly love Christ, we will seek to know His will and have the courage to obey it.
God Bless
